What began life as a last.fm group dedicated to the lunatic fringe of a rapidly exploding post-dubstep/wonky movement has now given birth to three exceptional compilations featuring the very best in maniacal mad-hop from around the world.

This mix is assembled exclusively with tracks taken from the forth release in the series, Mad-Hop Vol. 4. But these aren’t the nonsensical ravings of distorted minds, quite the opposite. The music on display here has been meticulously crafted by some of the most gifted producers currently at large from their respective psychiatric institutions.

The late Hunter S. Thompson once wrote “If you’re going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you’re going to be locked up.” Clearly off their rocker, Mad-Hop are giving the LP away for free. So download and enjoy this prime example of what happens when you blur the lines between genius and insanity.

So close…

…I can taste it! I’m currently in the process of skinning this here blog using one of Style Hatch’s amazing Tumblr themes as the framework.

The further I spec’d kidvector.com the more I realised that I’d save myself weeks of work if I just used Tumblr and coughed up the $49 for the Ascender theme. Being a front end designer/developer it felt counter intuitive at first but the time savings mean I can get on with creating new content rather than toiling with code. I will get my first Tumblr theme submitted soon though, if it kills me.

So anyway, when I’m done this message will magically disappear but I thought I should explain the slightly random, constantly fluctuating look and feel of the site currently. Don’t let the fluid nature of the site design put you off from exploring the content though. :)

Infinity City

Promotional release for Eat Concrete Records.

Holland’s Eat Concrete Records required a mix from KidVector to help promote their newly founded label. Entitled ‘Infinity City’ the artwork had to communicate the confidence, optimism and energy that defines the label and music.
